FAQ
How soon can we get an installation done?
Products chosen from our wide variety of in-stock flooring can be installed within the same week, with waiting times as short as two days. Specialty products that need to be ordered may have longer lead times depending on the manufacturer's production schedules and transit times.
If I purchase a floor ahead of time, can it be stored in your warehouse for an extended period of time?
Yes, products can be stored in our warehouse for up to 60 days after receiving, provided they have been paid for in full. If you need storage for a longer period, please discuss other options with your sales representative.
Can my carpet that has been installed for quite some time be restretched?
Possibly. Restretching may be possible depending on the current condition of the carpet, but it is not guaranteed. With older carpets, the backing may become brittle and more likely to be damaged during restretching. After inspecting the carpet, a sales representative can help determine whether restretching is possible or if replacement is necessary.
Can I install solid hardwood flooring in my basement?
No. Solid hardwood installed over a concrete slab is more likely to be affected by moisture coming through the pores of the concrete, which can cause warping, cupping, or other moisture damage to the planks. We recommend using flooring that can withstand higher moisture levels, such as LVT/LVP, ceramic tile, or engineered hardwood.
For my bathroom, can the vanity and toilet be removed prior to the installation by your installers?
No. Please contact a plumber before your installation date to have these items removed. If you do not have a plumber, please let us know, and we can reach out to our plumber to arrange removal and reinstallation. All water lines and sewage connections must be handled by a licensed plumber.
Can LVT/LVP be installed in a non-climate-controlled space?
Yes. Certain products in the LVT/LVP category can be installed in three-season porches, breezeways, or other similar environments. Please discuss the intended installation location with your sales representative before choosing a product so our team can ensure that the flooring is suitable for your application.
Can carpeting be installed in a non-climate-controlled space?
No. Carpeting should be kept at a minimum temperature of 65 degrees. The backing on carpeting can expand and contract depending on the climate in which it is installed. This may cause ripples or waves if the carpet loosens from the tack strips along the perimeter.
Do you work with the removal of asbestos tiling?
No. Please contact a mitigation company for testing and the proper removal of any suspected or confirmed asbestos-containing tiles and/or mastics.
I have floating flooring currently installed in my bedroom, and I would like carpeting. Can it be installed directly over the current flooring?
No. Floating flooring cannot have other products installed over it due to the risk of the existing flooring unlocking or lifting. This can cause imperfections in the flooring installed on top.
I stained the carpeting I had installed a few years ago and would like it to be patched. Is that possible?
No. Carpeting comes with specific dye lots assigned to each roll produced by the mill. If carpet from a previous year needs to be patched to remove a stain, there is a strong possibility that the colors will not match perfectly. Due to wear and tear and subtle differences in color tones, a patch will likely be much more noticeable than the original stain.
Do I have to remove my wood baseboards if I want to change the carpeting to LVT?
Possibly. Differences in height between carpeting and LVT may create a gap where the flooring types meet. If you do not want to remove the wall base, a simpler solution is to install shoe molding, also known as quarter round, along the bottom of the baseboards to hide any gaps caused by the height differences.
What is the best flooring option to install in a commercial space?
The best option depends on the desired look and application. However, we highly recommend carpet tile and glue-down LVT, specifically LVT with a minimum 20 mil wear layer.
Carpet tile is a much more suitable option for commercial settings than broadloom carpet. Accidents can happen in commercial spaces, and if the flooring is damaged, individual tiles can be replaced to repair the affected areas without having to replace the entire carpet.
LVT is a hard-surface product that offers greater protection, water resistance, and durability without sacrificing the desired look. A 20 mil wear layer provides a stronger protective surface than products with thinner wear layers.

Can you repair the squeaks in my subfloor below my carpeting?
Possibly. Our installers are trained and knowledgeable in repairing squeaky subfloors. In many cases, securing the subfloor more tightly to the floor joists with screws can stop the squeaking. However, there are circumstances where this will not resolve the problem. In those cases, a carpenter may be needed to identify the source of the noise and discuss possible repair options.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, cash, checks, and ACH payments.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Financing is available through Wells Fargo for in-store purchases, along with other lenders for online shopping. For in-store purchases, please ask an associate about available financing options and assistance with submitting an application to our Wells Fargo team.
Do you offer local delivery?
Yes. Please discuss local delivery options with your sales representative.
Do you offer discounts if I order a large quantity of flooring?
Yes. We offer discounts on full rolls of carpeting and pallets of LVT. Products that do not meet the minimum standard size for rolls or pallets are not eligible for these discounts. Please ask your sales representative whether any discounts apply to your order size when requesting pricing.
Do you offer any promotions or incentives for purchases?
Promotions and incentives will be displayed on our landing page for the duration of each special. If no special is currently being advertised, please ask your sales representative about upcoming sales, rebates, or promotions.
Do you offer free in-home estimates and measurements?
Yes. Please call to schedule your free in-home estimate and measurement. If you have a particular flooring style in mind, and a sample is available, it can be brought to your home during the visit.
Can I install ceramic tile over existing tile?
No. Installing new ceramic tile over existing ceramic tile is not recommended. The additional weight of the new tile can cause damage to the subfloor, and any movement in the underlying tile can cause the newly installed tile to crack or become loose.
